The operator must be aware of which foam (3%, 6%) he is using; also he must calculate the amount of water discharged at that point by the pump. This all involves calculations which normally will be very difficult to do at fire calls. Very often the foam is induced by  one's  judge ment, result - improper foam quality and inefficient fire extinguishing.Why Automatic foam Proportioner?This system will induct the exact required foam percentage into the fire pump automatically; also it will automatically adjust the foam percentage as the flow from the pump varies. For e.g. if the fireman is using only one hand line with foam branch then the Proportioner will adjust the foam % which is just suitable for that line; nevertheless if the foam monitor is operated at any given  point   then  the  foam   Proportioner   will  automatically increase and adjust the foam percentage to suit the discharge from monitor, no operator involvement is required. This saves the foam compound and final quality of expanded foam is good. This system can be used with 1%, 3% and 6% foam and is suitable for all types of foam currently used. The accuracy of the system is up to the mark and can be used right from 200 lpm to 6000 lpm capacity fire pumps. What more! The system is rugged, needs no adjustments and has not electrical/pneumatics involved and has very few moving parts which makes it highly reliable.
