The de-greasing section helps the removal of oil and dirt by a cascaded process of hot alkaline de-greasing, cold rising, hot rising and hot air drying. Then annealing is done in an electrically heated horizontal furnace operated under a protective atmosphere with a calibrated ratio of nitrogen and hydrogen generated in a state–of–the–art automated protective gas plant using ammonia and air as primary raw materials.
Hot dip galvanizing of the strip is carried out by immersing it in a zinc bath maintained at 460 degree centigrade. The chemistry of the bath is carefully controlled to ensure proper adhesion and formability of the applied zinc together with bright blemish free uniform spangles

These mills are equipped with latest technologies of configurations comprising of mill management system, abb make advent technology system, automatic gauge control system and abb make digital dc drives which assures the quality and prescribed limit of thickness of the materials. This automation process enables the reduction of thickness of material up to 90 %, i.e. As thin as 0.10 mm as per customer's demand and international requirements. The plant is also equipped with bell furnaces and skin pass facility to cater the market for domestic appliances.

This is in addition to applying a single layer of fbe on the external surface of steel pipes if required.the coating plant has a capacity of coating pipes at the rate of 300sq meter per hour.
The best corrosion control system for underground pipe lines lies in its ability to limit oxygen and water transport to the pipe surface and compatibility with cathodic protection (cp) system.
the coating on line pipe with fbe and pe are designed such that it will work in compatible with cp system and not interfere with it.
