Adhunik TMT rebars are produced through Primary Steel making route using virgin iron ore from Captive mines by the world's most advanced technology,- The Tempcore Process - in collaboration with Centre de RechaercheMetallurgiques (CRM) Belgium. Adhunik TMT Bars are subsequently processed through the in house DRI Plant consuming Iron ore mined from own Mines, which is further channelled through Induction Furnace, Ladle Refining Furnace (LRF) to refine the steel to the fullest extent and a Continuous Casting Billet Machine (CCBM). The resultant Billets are of superior quality, containing low sulphur and phosphorus levels and ensures the desired and consistent properties in the rebar. Adhunik TMT Bars are IS: 1786:2008 Certified forFe-415, Fe-415D,FE-500, Fe-500D, Fe-550& Fe-600 grades.

TMT Bars, used in Civil Construction, is manufactured by us at our Integrated Steel Plant facility in Durgpaur, West Bengal. We have an annual capacity of 260,000 MTs of TMT Bars and produce them using the Thermex technology for rapid water quenching. Our TMT Bars score high on strength and ductility, which are the main parameters required by Civil Engineers. Such a combination allows engineers and designers to reduce consumption of Steel in structures and yet, be assured about their safety and strength.

The Galvanized Iron Flat Bars, provided by us, are corrosion resistant and durable. Flat Bars are rolled items rectangular in shape and represented by dimension of Width & Thickness. This cost-effective steel product is highly versatile in use., Some Standards relevant for flat bars are IS 1732 ,IS 1730, IS 5986 ,IS 1852 etc.

The selection of induction furnace instead of conventional electric arc furnace is decided by the fact that power will be tapped directly from the captive power plant. The advantages of induction furnace over other types of furnaces are Low capital cost with easy installation, simple operation procedure, very low heat loss because the bath is constantly covered & minimum noise pollution.Procured scrap and return scrap will be charged into the furnace to ensure optimum utilization. Carbon in the form of petroleum coke, breeze coke, will be charged in to the furnace for attaining necessary level of carbon in the process. Once the minimum temperature of the furnace is reached, sponge iron will be charged in small batches and the slag formed in the process will be removed from time to time. Required amount of Ferro Alloys will be added after raising the temperature to maintain the desired quality and composition of the molten metal.
