They are obtained by pressing the multiple layers of resin impregnated filler materials in hydraulic press under high temperature & high pressure. The Phenolics are available with us in number of grades, which are tailored to meet international quality standards. They are widely used as insulating material. Grades: Characteristics and Application : E-P1 : Very good mechanical & adequate electrical properties, suitable for low-tension, non- humid application Applications: Battery eliminator, transformer & choke bobbin, tube light ends, control panel, condenser mountings, drill back up and drill entry and bobbin industries. E-P2 : Combination of good electrical & mechanical properties especially suitable for power industry and use in oil. Applications: Transformer covers, C.B.handles and side frames, distribution board fuse base etc. E-P3 : Excellent electrical and adequate mechanical properties, low water absorption suitable for high tension electric applications even under tropical conditions. Applications: Transformer & choke bobbin for power electronic, relay spacers, grid covers, selector bank insulation etc.
