12-hydroxy stearic acid: liquid h.c.o.is saponified by caustic lye to soap. this soap is acidulated by acid. there are two layers (upper layer is 12-h.s.a.)and (lower layer is acidic water ph-2).the bottom layer is drained out to glycerin plant and the upper layer was washed 2-3 times (7ph) after washing that go for drying and bleaching.
