TXL FORTE
Trihexyphenidyl HCL 2MG and Trifluoperazine 5mg Tablets
TXL FORTE is composed of two medicines, namely; Trifluoperazine and Trihexyphenidyl.
Trihexyphenidyl belongs to a class of drugs called Antimuscarinics and Trifluoperazine belongs to a class of drugs known as Phenothiazine antipsychotics.

MECHANISM OF ACTION :
Trifluoperazine is an antipsychotic. It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (dopamine) in the brain that affects thoughts and mood. However, it may cause side effects such as involuntary movements (shaking of hands, muscle spasms). Trihexyphenidyl is added to treat and prevent these side effects.
