WELDING ROTATORS
Welding Rotators are probably the most versatile and usefull positioning equipment in a fabrication shop . They are mainly used to rotate or position the cylindrical jobs for circumferential welding (TIG / MIG / Sub Arc) . The machine consists of a Drive unit and Idler unit which can be one or more and Control panel with pendant. AC geared motors with variable frequency drive is used for stepless speed variation . The rollers are made of Steel or moulded with polyurethane as per the job requirement. Conventional Rotators :- These comprise basically two sets of rollers which are adjustable either manually across the frames or through lead-screw and ratchet, when changing from one diameter to another.

SAW cladding is a high-productivity option for surfacing applications which uses a wide, flat strip in place of a wire electrode
Process:
The well-known SAW method has been widely used with strip electrodes since the mid-1950s. A strip electrode, normally measuring 50 x 0.5 mm or 90 x 0.5 mm is used as the (usually positive) electrode and .an electric arc is formed between the strip and the work-piece. Flux is used to form a molten slag to protect the weld pool from the atmosphere and helps to form a smooth weld bead surface.
Highly alloyed materials, such as stain-less steel or nickel-base alloys, are needed in many applications to provide protection against corrosion. However, the comparatively high cost of these materials in many cases makes deposition of a protective layer on a less expensive load bearing mild or low alloy steel economically the most realistic alternative.
Furthermore, weld surfacing with A6S SAW Strip Cladding head gives the designer and the fabricator a great degree of freedom providing the possibility to choose a wide variety of parent materials and consumables. Cladding by weld surfacing also allows for flexibility in production of objects having various shapes and sizes. Stainless steel cladding is widely used in production of components where corrosion resistance is required together with strength above that of standard stainless grades.
Features:
Economical - Provides an economical solution for surfacing with high alloyed materials such as stainless steel or nickel-based alloys.
Dynamic - Choose a wider variety of parent materials and consumables.
Used in combination with standard welding head.

Process:
Plasma Transferred Arc is used for welding at high arc travel speeds. For initiating a transferred arc, a current limiting resistor is put in the circuit, which permits a flow of about 50 amps, between the nozzle and electrode and a pilot arc is established between the electrode and the nozzle. As the pilot arc touches the job main current starts flowing between electrode and job, thus igniting the transferred arc. The pilot arc initiating unit gets disconnected and pilot arc extinguishes as soon as the arc between the electrode and the job is started. This process provides minimal dilution and high resistance to chipping because of its dense metallurgical structure, free of voids, oxide films, and discontinuities. Used on parts subject to corrosion, thermal shock, severe abrasion, slurry erosion, or extreme impact forces to increase component life.
Features:
Reduces Cost - Restoring a worn part to "as new" condition generally costs between 20-70% of a brand new replacement part.
Prolongs Equipment Life -Service life increases of 3 to 10 times are common with properly overlaid parts.
Reduces Downtime - Parts last longer and fewer shutdowns are required.
Less Spare Parts Inventory -There is no need to keep numerous spare parts when worn parts can be rebuilt.
High Quality Deposit - It produces a very high quality deposit offering optimal protection with minimal dilution or deformation of the base material.
Precise Coating - It is a process that deposits very precise coatings of perfectly controlled alloys on mechanical parts that are subject to intense wear, significantly extending their service life.
Protection - Corrosion, thermal shock and abrasion.
Metal buildup / Reclamation- Certain alloys are made to rebuild a part to a required dimension while others are designed to be a final overlay that protects the work surface.
