Arvind Mills is the flagship company of the US$ 1 billion Indian conglomerate Lalbhai Group. Currently Arvind Mills is the world's largest manufacturer of denim. Kasturbhai Lalbhai established the group in 1908. A close associate of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, he was influenced by the ideas of equality for all regardless of religion, caste or social background.
