The Pump is equipped with Exhaust priming system as standard for fast & effective priming from deep lift. However Firefly’s reciprocating priming system "Primatic" which is completely automatic in operation can also be supplied with these pumps as optional. The engine is air cooled as well as water cooled for better performance. The complete set up is equipped with radiator, heat exchanger, battery, electric starter, 40 liters diesel tank, control panel etc. This unit can be used to combat fire for longer times.

Discharge Couplings: - 2 x 2.5” instantaneous screw down delivery outlets. The shaft is supported by two sealed ball bearings. Shaft sealing is by the well known Firefly automatic mechanical seal incorporating a carbon seal running on a stainless steel counter face. The mechanical seal is pre-loaded and requires no maintenance or attention during its life. PRIMER : - As standard, pump is equipped with Exhaust primer capable of priming from 7 meters suction height within 7 seconds. However 'PRIMATIC' piston primer (Capable of priming from 9 meter suction height) is also available as an option to exhaust. The pump and engine combination is supported on anti-vibration mounts to cut down the noise and vibration. The complete unit is mounted on a heavy duty trailer for easy surface transport. Equipment can easily be maneuvered by two persons by help of two foldable handles. Equipment can be easily towed by any vehicle for surface transport. A tool box is provided for essential operational & maintenance tools. The Firefly skid mounted fire pumps are self contained fire pump driven by a close coupled diesel engine and mounted on a heavy duty base for fixed installation. The complete unit is designed for extended fire pump duty, and every consideration has been given to ease of operation and servicing. The pump and engine combination is supported on anti-vibration mounts to cut down noise and vibration. The pump is driven by a close coupled TATA 497 Diesel Engine or equivalent engine. Gear Shifting mechanism: Automatic pneumatic self locking gear shift as standard. ( Air power allows the operator to shift from road or pump position by actuating a single button. Illuminated signal indicates completion of shift from road to pump.) Manual gear shift mechanism available as option is supplied with flexible control lever assembly.  This makes fitment of control lever very flexible and easy in the driver’s cab, especially with vehicles having tilting cabs. Firefly has developed second generation NXT-200 high pressure gun taking in to consideration the difficulties encountered in combating Indoor fire operations, incipient fires and forest fires. NXT-200 is advisedly designed so that fireman can rely completely on his equipments. The gun has proven its capability to achieve optimum extinguishing effects. It is extremely handy and user friendly. We strongly recommended NXT-200 gun in combination with Firefly MP series fire pumps or any high pressure technology fire pump. In practical terms NXT-200 consumes very little water during the operations and the micro-droplets evaporate completely and thus extract a maximum heat from the fire. Due to this; massive cooling effect are achieved. This cooling effect has two advantages; it cools the object on fire immediately and also saves the fireman from radiant heat from the fire, over & above it also saves the property being damaged due to heavy throw of water. All current "Firefly" Fire Pumps of LP & MP Series, up to 2000 to 4000 L/min ranges of pumps can be fitted with a “Round–the-pump” Foam System (RTP) capable of inducing up to 120 liters per minute of foam compound into the pump. The system is compact and self-contained and is mounted on the pump suction tube and volute. Material of Construction: For light alloy pumps: The pipe work and inductor are produced from aluminum alloy & the inductor itself is hard anodized. For Bronze Pumps: the body of inductor is available in bronze construction.
