Soft start facility in this controller will help evaporate any moisture present inside the heater. The coil heaters have MgO content, and are therefore hygroscopic in nature. If kept unused for long periods, there is moisture deposition on the terminals. So we recommend de-moisturizing the heaters by preheating at 100° C to 120°C using controllers with soft start functions.
