Introduction Standardcon's Aluminum Lake Colors are Pigment Powders or Disperse, prepared from colors and Aluminum Hydrate or other approved substrates. Micron Technologies helps to achieve greater product effectiveness through the application of particle size. They are cheerful, bright in shade, available in a variety of Dye strengths and have an excellent color stability and consistency. Properties of Lake Colors In general, Lakes or disperse colors are very fine powder, Fast to Light, Resist Air, Moisture, insoluble in water, alcohols and organic solvents. This helps to increase the shelf life of the end product. FASTNESS TO LIGHT As Colors are bonded with Aluminum Hydrate, the rate of Discoloration is reduced in comparison to the Parent Dye. This helps to prevent fading of Colors in end product. OPACITY OR HIDING POWER Lake Colors are opaque and dispersible. This helps to cover any surface with low quantity of Lake Colors. SHADE OR TINT Lake Colors produces different tint or shade with different strength of parent Colors. This tint or shade remains constant on applying any number of coatings. This quality of consistency helps to reproduce same shade from batch to batch. MOTTLING OR SPOT As Lake Colors are insoluble in water; the migration of colors is prevented. Shelf Life & Storage : MCON WALLPUTTY will have a shelf life of 12 months in unopened containers when kept in dry conditions at a temperature between 5ºC to 45ºC. Application : Surface Preparation : Make sure that the surface is absolutely clean, dry and free from dust, grease and foreign materials. There should be a time gap of at least 10 days before MCON WALL PUTTY application is done on newly plastered surfaces. Ensure that the surface is fairly even. If concrete surfaces are to be painted, it shall be washed with a water jet at 3000 psi and all loose concrete should be getting removed and all pin holes and blow holes should get opened. Application : MCON WALL PUTTY is a ready to use material. Take 2.5 to 3 parts of powder to 1 part of water by volume and mix it thoroughly for 10-15 mins. Apply the prepared material with putty knife from bottom to top by ensuring complete filling of holes with putty material and featheredged finish. The coating should be about 1mm thick. Second coat of MCON WALL PUTTY depends up on the exposed surface after first coat (generally both coat do not exceed 2mm) and leave the surface to dry overnight. The drying time of each coat should be 3 hours, but will vary from surface to surface.(depending upon atmospheric conditions) Finishing  : Make sure that the material has fully covered the substrate and dried. If putty applied surface is rough, surface should be made smooth by rubbing suitable emery paper on it. Ensure that the paper is fine and does not cause scratches on the MCON WALL PUTTY coating area. The MCON WALL PUTTY area is now ready for painting. Painting : The smooth surface finished with MCON WALL PUTTY does not require any putty or primer before paint application. Just apply any paint as per the manufacturer's standard specification. Intact painting can commence within a few hours of MCON WALL PUTTY. Packing & Coverage Packing : MCON WALL PUTTY is available in 5kg.and 20 kg. plastic lined sacks. Coverage : MCONWALL PUTTY has a coverage of 2.5 to 3m² per kg when applied at a thickness of 1mm.
