Raychem "SC001" is a surge counter along with leakage current indicator. This device is connected in series with the surge arrester by means of suitable cable at earth side. The counter counts the number of surges passing through the surge arrester while the leakage current indicator continuously indicates the leakage current through active elements as well as over the surface of the surge arrester.
