HPM-15 Lamp is Metal Halide UV lamp. This lamp radiate in the DIAZO range.
HPM-15 Lamp is rated for 2000 W and it works on 380 V - 440 V, 50 Hz,Phase to phase supply. This lamp is generally operated in half and full power mode in UV Exposing machines For example, to operate this lamp at 2000 W in full-power mode and at 1000 W in half- power mode, two ballasts each rated for operating this lamp at 1000 W are used in parallel as shown below.
To operate this lamp at 2000 W continuously without half power mode, one ballast rated for 2000 W is used.
Burning position of lamp: horizontal +- 10 degrees.
Applications:
contact copying of images from transparent film to UV sensitive carrier.
HPM - 15 lamp is made by Philips, Holland.
The lamp temperature should not exceed the value given by the manufacturer during its operation. Adequate forced air-cooling is necessary for proper performance of these lamps. Insufficient excess cooling may cause premature failure explosion of these lamps.
Ultraviolet radiation emitted by these lamps are harmful for eyes, proper care should be taken while the lamp is in operation.
