Characteristics :- mecprime cord is a detonating fuse containing uniform core load of petn, that assures positive initiation of cap sensitive explosives along the entire length of the fuse. Mecprime cord is relatively insensitive to detonation by friction, shock or electric discharge and requires a proper initiation for detonation.operating aids:-since mecprime cord contains a core of high explosives, it should be appropriately handled and stored. Detonating fuse and detonators should not be transported & stored together. Avoid loops, sharp kinks & angles in trunk line and use recommended methods only when connecting downline to trunkline.packaging: mecprime cord is wound on wooden/car board reels. 4 reels are placed in a corrugated cartons.
