Lime Chemical Limited was established in the year 1970 as a private Limited company. The core manufacturing competency of the company is the manufacture of "Precipitated and Coated Calcium Carbonate". Two very basic ingredients used across various industries. Realising the potential of this product, the promoters of the company H I Dawoodani, R H Meghani and A H Dawoodani to invest in a huge expansion process. Up gradation of technology & continuous product development helped the company meet critical standards of the end use industry. This automatically led to improved process, world class practices and recognized quality benchmarks enabling the company to achieve excellence.
As the process and production capacities grew the company gathered enough strength to consolidate its position in the Indian market. And it began to drive the market and lead from the fore front. The first major milestone in the history of lime chemicals was in 1986, when the company turned public.
