Lap/polish plates revolves at low RPM. The conditioning rings located in position on the machine plate also rotate freely. The work pieces are kept freely inside conditioning rings with the surface to be lapped mating the Lap Plate. The sharp abrasive particles which are continuously fed on the machine plate get impregnated in the Lap plate and cut the material from the surface of the work piece and creates replica of the plates flatness on to the same. These Machines are typically suited for R&D work.

Span Guage is with 3 legs presettable on a master Surface Plate. A Dial in the centre measures the flatness at various positions.

Optical flats provide the fast, sure and accurate method of obtaining flatness measurement under Monochromatic Checklite. It is always necessary to have reflective, clean and dry surface of finished component before measuring its flatness. Flatness measurements are accomplished by reading interference (light) bands which appear on the surface of the work piece when placed under a Speedfam optical flat. Fringes appear when the flat is placed gently on work piece surface under Monochromatic Checklite. The optical flats are available in various diameters.Optical flats are available in Borosilicate glass material with flatness accuracies as ?4, ?6, ?10. These are available either Single side or Double side surfaces. Sizes available are 1", 2", 3", 4", 5", 6", as standards and other sizes on request.

This is unique product developed by speedfam in order to have contamination free lapping oil for reuse. It has one abrasive mixture collecting tank in which the used abrasive mixture is poured. The abrasive is separated by baffling & settling process. The clear oil is recepted thru the final chamber from which oil can be taken out for reuse. Viewing windows are provided on the system to varify the level of abrasive settled & necessity of cleaning.

Monochromatic Check-lite measures the flatness of finished components in the range of 1 light band or 0.3 Micron with the help of speedfam optical flat. No skilled technician is required to measure the flatness accurately, using the speedfam monochromatic checklite. Its exceptional design prevents the penetration of extraneous multiwave Length Light from outside sources. It can be placed near the production operation.

Compound suitable for polishing is packed in 200 ml pressurized can. It helps in micronised spraying on polish plate, when sprayed. This prevents drying of the polish plates during polishing.

Synthetic Diamond Powder is one of the hardest manmade abrasives used in variety of Lapping, grinding & polishing application.Diamond pellet lap to clean up the generation marks and smooth the surface so that it can be polished. Typically the diamond pellet is 10 or 12 microns. Micron powders are in well defined ranges of fine particles. The grade designation defines the micron size ranges of the abrasive particles. Abrasive feeding system keeps the abrasive & vehicle mixture in homogeneous condition all the time to ensure optimum usage of abrasive particle in cutting process, which helps in imparting an efficient and uniform stock removal over a period of time. This also helps to reduce consumable cost & the cycle time & hence more output as compared to non recirculation type system. The stirrer in the system provides continuously stirring during & in between two cycles. The tank is equipped with the casters for easy movement of system for disposal.
