Lomotil (diphenoxylate/atropine) is an oral tablet prescribed to treat diarrhea. The usual starting dosage is two tablets of Lomotil taken four times per day, with a decrease in dosage as symptoms improve. Lomotil is typically used to treat acute (short-term) diarrhea that's been resistant to other medications.
