Cylinders are produced for storage and delivery of medical gases like Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide used in hospitals and medical establishments. The basic requirement of medical cylinders is that they should be ultra clean from inside having smooth internal surface to avoid any contamination and minimizing the risk of consequent valve blockage. Our range of industrial cylinders includes cylinders  for Industrial Oxygen, Medical Oxygen, Argon, Nitrogen, Helium, Hydrogen, Carbon Dioxide,  Nitrous Oxide,  specialised gases for refrigeration and fire fighting and food processing. Some specific end users of  industrial cylinders are: Chemical Industries:  Gases like Hydrogen, Nitrogen etc. are used in the chemical process for manufacturing various chemicals, Metallurgy and steel making:  Large quantities of Oxygen, Nitrogen and Argon are used in the steel and metal industries. Apart from use of oxygen and argon in steel melting process. Argon and CO2 are used for TIG and MIG welding. Use of nitrogen and argon as inert gases in non ferrous metal industry is quite prevalent.   Energy Industry: Hydrogen and CO2 gases are used in the power plant for cooling the Power Generator. SF6 (Sulphur Hexafluoride) is extensively used in circuit breakers for high voltage power application. Various sizes of cylinders are produced to cater to this specific application.

High pressure gas cylinder mainly CO2 are used in the fire extinguisher. Nitrogen, Halon and CO2 cylinders are also used in the low pressure fire extinguishing system. These fire fighting systems can be both static and mobile. Our cylinders are also widely used in specialised fire fighting systems for large power plants and refineries by leading Indian and international EPC companies for their projects.

CNG cascades are used for storage, transport and dispensing of CNG gas to vehicles and form the backbone of the CNG infrastructure in the country. MKC has emerged as the undisputed leader in this segment with a lion’s share of the cascade business. These cascades are manufactured using in-house cylinders and fabrication facilities. The high pressure fittings and tubing are sourced from Parker ( USA) and Sandvik ( Sweden) respectively. MKC is the only company to have invested in sophisticated tooling like automatic cutting, de-burring, bending and swaging machines. CNG cylinder cascades are made as per the specific configuration of our clients with water capacities ranging from 2025 to 6000 litres. Apart from the cylinders which are certified by BIS/PESO, the cascades are certified by third party inspection agencies like BVQI, SGS, TUV etc.

CNG being an environment friendly fuel is the preferred alternative to Petrol and Diesel, as an alternate fuel for vehicles. With the growth of CNG infrastructure in the country this demand is ever increasing. We manufacture CNG cylinders for ONBOARD application in the range of 20 litres to 160 litres Water Capacity and these cylinders are widely used by the smallest auto rickshaws  to large commercial trucks and buses. MKC pioneered the manufacture of CNG cylinders in  the country way back in 1993, when the first lot of cylinders was supplied to Ashok Leyland for use in BEST buses. Today our cylinders are used by leading OEM’s as well as retrofitters.
