These are used in heavy duty application where higher breaking capacity is required such as 16KA, 35KA etc & higher Amp rating is required such as 160A, 200A, 400A etc. The normal running range is 63A to 800Amp x 3/4 Pole. MPCBs which are called as "Motor Protection Circuit Breaker" are used for tripping the circuit when leakage current starts flowing or in case of Earth fault. These are used especially in rooms where people are working, to avoid getting shocked. The normal running range is 0.6A to 10Amp.
