Softening the filtered water from the filtered water tank will be fed to the one bed softener. the one bed softener consists of a cation exchanger unit. In the strong acid cation exchange na-type the resin bed is regenerated with nacl. The ca++ and mg++ ions present in the water are exchanged with na+ ions available in the resin and water is softened
