The erw pipes are electric resistant welded from either strips or coils in a longitudinal direction to add strength to the pipe. There are different dimensions and standards of these pipes. The Erw Schedule 40 Pipe is one of the medium range schedules that allows medium range pressure containment of the pipes. The schedules govern the wall thickness for different outer diameter sizes of the pipes.
