Hydrogen gas is passed through Refined castor oil with Nickel as to get Hydrogenated Castor Oil. After filtration, the liquid HCO goes either to Flaking machine to get HCO Flakes or to Spray Drying Tower to get HCO Powder.
Hydrogenated Castor Oil Flakes(HCO) has a very wide use in the industries like: Lubricants, Paper Coatings, Processing Aids, Polishes, Investment Castings, Inks, Pencil & Crayons, Cosmetics, Electrical Applications, Hot Melt Adhesives.
It is supplied in the form of flakes or as powder. The colour of HCO is cream to white. When melted it is clear, transparent to straw coloured.
