Slate is not as porous as other natural stone tiles like travertine and sandstone. This impermeable nature has made it a popular material for centuries. Slate is a metamorphic rock and is generally charcoal grey in colour but is available in other shades like rust, green and red which is evident in several varieties of our slate tiles. The majority of our slate tiles have a visibly riven surface, which provides an incredibly rustic look.
