This method applies to papers and do not contain appreciable quantities of material, other than water, that will escaper from the paper at the temperature specified for the test.
After drying enclose the sample quickly in the container and allow to cool for 45 min (Note 3). Equalize the air pressure outside and inside the container by momentarily opening and closing it. Weigh the container and its contents. Empty the container and reweigh it immediately, together with its lid.
