The Portland Pozzolana Cement is a kind of Blended Cement which is produced by either intergrinding of OPC clinker along with gypsum and pozzolanic materials in certain proportions or grinding the OPC clinker, gypsum and Pozzolanic materials separately and thoroughly blending them in certain proportions.

Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) is premium blended cement manufactured by inter-grinding the high quality clinker with superfine processed fly ash. The clinker used here is specially made with high percentage of Tricalcium Silicate C3S (58-60%). Only high quality fly ash from select chambers of Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPs) are extracted and transported in closed bulkers is used to manufacture Maha Cement. Clinker and fly ash with desired proportion of gypsum is inter-ground in high efficiency closed circuit Ball Mills. The “O-Sepa”and SKS separators used in the mills enable us to maintain high fineness (about 350 m2kg) and good particle size distribution (PSD). Maha Cement thus manufactured surpasses the compressive strength requirement of OPC 53 grade at 3, 7 and 28 days while enabling you to get excellent durability in concrete.

PPC Cement: Pozzolana is a natural or artificial material which contains silica in the reactive form. Portland Pozzolana Cement is cement manufactured by combining Pozzolanic materials. This cement comprises of OPC clinker, gypsum and pozzolanic materials in certain proportions. The Pozzolanic materials include fly ash, volcanic ash, calcined clay or silica fumes. These materials are added within a range of 15% to 35% by cement weight.

PPC (Portland Pozzolana cement) is ordinary Portland cement intimately blended or inter-ground with pozzolanic materials such as fly ash, calcined clay, rice husk ash etc.Amrit Cement PPC (IS 1489-1991) is made by intergrinding high strength clinker with specially processed flyash. This imparts a greater degree of fineness to Fly-ash based PPC cement, improved workability properties while mixing, and makes concrete more corrosion resistant, thermal cracking and impermeable.
