SpO2 Probe Reusable Sensor for Contec Patient Monitors – CMS5100, CMS7000, CMS8000 or CMS9000 patient monitors.
pO2 stands for Saturation of Peripheral Oxygen. SpO2 can be divided into the following parts where "S" stands for saturation, "P" for a pulse (the "SP" can also stand for serum pressure), and "O2" stands for oxygen. SpO2 is also sometimes referred to as oxygen saturation.
Use of SpO2 probe: It is an easy, painless measure of how well oxygen is being sent to parts of your body furthest from your heart, such as the arms and legs. A clip-like device called a probe is placed on a body part, such as a finger or ear lobe. The probe uses light to measure how much oxygen is in the blood.
