Mild-steel chequered plates are welded on it to complete the structure.Surface mounted foundations comprise flat solid raft with concrete approach ramps. Service access for load cells maintenance and horizontal restraint adjustment is through the platform surface and side after cover plate removal.This type of weighbridge is most suitable where the excavation work for foundation is difficult or construction of pit is expensive. Since the structure is above ground level, vehicles can approach the weighbridge only from two directions where the ramps are provided.
