MINICOTA (Semi automatic Spray coating Machine ) is mainly designed to replace the conventional method of manual coating of tablets and granules. Mini cota is comprised of pressure vessel whish can be provided with S.S. jacket (for Sugar Coating) with controlled heaters, sagety valve, pneumatic stirrer (Oscillating type) , spraying nozzles and compact control panel with Pneumatic cylinder for intermittent spray with timer. CONSTRUTION AND OPERATION : SALIENT FEATURES :  Design is cGMP – Current Good Manufacturing Practices compliance.  All contact parts AISI 316 & non contact parts AISI 304.  Automatic spraying system for tablet film coating on conventional coating.  Easy to moveable and dismantle for one machine to another machine and for cleaning.  Easy to controls to atomized spray and flow of liquid.  Automatic Coating System is Consists of: 1. Solution holding tank. 2. Peristaltic Pump 3. Atomized Spraying Gun 4. Adjustable Stand for Spraying Gun 5. Automatic Electro Pneumatic Controls Panel.  The system is available with one or more than spraying nozzle as per coating pan size.  Solution holding tanks can be different capacity and with and without stirrer. Vessel is filled with coating solution and pressurized by oil/ moisture free compressed air at pressure of 3 to 4 Kgs/cm 2 to get unifirm atomized conical spray. The coating is done by spray guns which are mounted on a heavy S.S stand can can be adjusted. Duration of air and liquid spray is controlled by a Digital Timer and Pneumatic cylinder through a solenoid valve. SALIENT FEATURES: 1. The purpose of spray drying is to produce powder or a granular product in ONE step by drying 'atomized' liquid feed in heated air or other gaseous medium. By atomizing the feed into fine droplets, a very large surface area per unit mass is generated with a very short path for heat and mass transfer. The heated air supplies latent heat of evaporation to the droplets and brings about rapid drying which in turn brings about rapid cooling of the drying gas. At the same time the particle temperature is kept low by adiabatic cooling. Drying can take place in a very short time, typically 5-20 seconds.Spray dried particles are usually spheroidal, which gives the product excellent flow characteristics. Size of the dried product particle depends on the size of the droplet from the atomizers. Different atomizers produce different particle size distribution and spray patterns. The drying air flow pattern must be carefully selected for optimum performance.
