Toughened glass is also known as "Secure Glass" or "Safe Glass". Toughened glass is 4 to 5 times stronger than annealed glass of the same type and thickness. It is due to stresses in the surface layer. The compressive surface stresses close microscopic crack and make the glass much stronger. The toughened glass is 2-3 times more resistant to thermal shocks as an annealed glass. The annealed glass is a brittle material. It breaks under a lowest tensile stress. The tensile stresses on the surface can be caused by bending the glass sheet or by changes in temperature. The normal glass can break at 40 – 50 o C, but the tempered glass remains unbreakable even at 150 o C. When ordinary glass is broken, it forms sharp, knife like pieces, but the toughened glass breaks into small harmless pieces. Toughened glasses have a wide range of applications.

REFLECTIVE AND TINTED GLASS When designing with glass, there are a wide range of options to choose from to create a truly unique project. One option in particular–reflective glass–has some significant aesthetic and performance benefits. Even when transparent glass is in vogue, there are specific applications when tinted, reflective glass can be the superior choice. In fact, there are even reflective glasses that provide the solar control benefits of low-e coatings.

Laminated glass is a combination of two or more glass sheets with one or more interlayer of plastic (PVB) or resin. In case of breakage, the interlayer holds the fragments together and continues to provide resistance to the passage of persons or objects. This glass is particularly suitable where it is important to ensure the resistance of the whole sheet after breakage, such as, shop-fronts, balconies, stair-railings, roof glazing.

  Insulating glass is also known as Double Glass Units (DGU). DGU consist of two panes of glass separated by a spacer around the edges and sealed to the perimeter in factory controlled conditions. The spacer contains a Desiccant (drying agent) which eliminates moisture vapor in the cavity. Double Glass Units are available in many combinations including clear float, tinted float, reflective float, laminated, toughened, obscure and with Low-E glass enhancement.      

Decorative Digital printed glass, UV Cetamic printed glass, decorative mirror, edging glass, and glass furnitures are widely used in interior designing. The Digital printed glass is widely used for their clearity and stability.

Bullet Resistant glass is also called “Bullet Proof Glass", “Transparent Armor”, “Bullet-Resistant Glass” or "Ballistic Glass". It is achieved through the multiple layering of laminated glass. Laminated glass is basically two or more sheets of glass, bonded together by a polycarbonate material, viz. Polyvinyl Butyrol (PVB). The PVB interlayer helps to sustain a bullet's blow and slows down its penetration. PVB adds another element of safety by maintaining the structural integrity of the glass construction. Mostly Ballistic glass finds application in safety and security areas. The glazing systems that use SKTuff Ballistic Glass helps in improving design of facilities as well as reduce physical damage and human injury possibilities that can result from accidents, criminal acts and terrorist attacks.
