Vertical Glandless Pumps WORKING PRINCIPLE:Vertical Glandless Pumps have a similar hydraulic design as the centrifugal conventional pump, with the difference that it is designed in the vertical position. Liquid from the suction line passes through the impeller to the discharge line with the required flow and head/pressure, while the excess liquid enters the rear plate cover and is diverted back to the mother tank through overflow outlet arrangements. TWIN SCREW PUMPS WORING PRINCIPLE: A pair of specially profiled screw, machined integral from solid stock and well supported on antifriction bearings run in precision bored interchangeable casing liners. Each screw set has one right hand and one left hand screw engaging with a similar but opposite hand screw pair. A pair of hardened and profile ground timing gears synchronize the screws to maintain a small but positive clearance between the flanks thus ensuring no metal to metal contact. The pumps can therefore run dry for some time without any damage. This unique feature enables to run the pump even dry and handle fluids that do not have enough lubricating value and also very low or high viscous products. Consequently, since there is no metal to metal contact; wear and tear is reduced to the minimum, ensuring extremely long service life. With two pairs of screws running in the same casing, the internal velocities are very small - consequently the NPSHR is practically the lowest even when the pumps run at motor speeds and while handling viscous products. THREE SCREW PUMPS / TRIPLE SCREW PUMPS WORKING PRINCIPLE: Three Screw pumps employ just three screw elements - one power screw and two idler screws running in the three precision bores in the housing or liner. The screws are so profiled that they form a liquid tight seal between the thread. As the screws rotate, pockets/ cavities are formed where liquid gets trapped and conveyed from one end of the infinite stroke. This results in smooth, pulsation free flow with extremely low noise and vibration levels, almost impossible to be achieved by any other design of positive displacement or other types. The power rotor does not drive the idlers as commonly believed. The hydraulic forces acting on screw flanks turn the idlers torquelessly thus reducing the friction. SHUTTLE BLOCK PUMPS WORKING PRINCIPLE: The Shuttle Block Pump works on a unique pumping principle - a combination of Rotary and Reciprocating action – Rotation of rotor causes reciprocating movement of shuttle and piston. There are only three pumping elements - ROTOR, PISTON and SHUTTLE. Rotor is keyed to a single shaft and runs concentric in pump casing. It has a rectangular slot across its face. The channel shaped piston reciprocates within this slot. A rectangular block, shuttle, fits liquid tight in piston slot and reciprocates. The reciprocating action of piston in rotor and shuttle in piston is due to an eccentric pin fixed on the pump cover and engaging the shuttle bore as the rotor turns in the pump casing. WORKING PRINCIPLE:Drying, roasting, heat treatment and cooing is achieved by passing the material being processed through a rotating horizontally inclined cylindrical drum. The stream of hot gas / air for drying and cold air for cooling, also, passes through the drum. As the drum rotates, the internals, Pusher Flights and “Lifters”, fitted into the drum tumble, slide, lift and shower and cascades the material into the air steam. In co- current dryers, the hot gas/air stream flows in the same direction as that of the product being dried, and in counter current model the drying gas / air stream travels against the flow of the product being dried. ln these dryers the product is directly exposed to i.e. in contact of the stream hot gas / air produced by the heat source.
