INTERPLEX EXPET Range of Performance APET SHEET WHAT ARE APET SHEET ? APET (Amorphous PET) Sheet are thermoplastic sheet which are produced by the extrusion processing of Polyethylene Terephthalate (APET) copolymer, a thermoplastic polyester. APET Sheet have sparkling clarity and gloss and very good mechanical properties and thermoforming characteristics, which make them the ideal material for packaging applications. EXPET Range EXPET is a range of high performance APET sheet manufactured by Interplex India. EXPET Sheet are manufactured on imported plant utilizing the company's long experience in the field of specialized extrusion. EXPET Sheet have extremely good thickness tolerance, very high uniformity and low crystallinity and excellent transparency. EXPET Sheet are made from Reliance RELPET resins. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF APET SHEET APET Sheet have the following general characteristics Sparkling clarity and gloss which makes it visually appealing as a material for packaging and display applications Very good impact strength down to a temperature of 40 oC High flexural modulus. This lows the possibility of down gauging the packaging thickness while at the same time maintaining the required properties. High resistance to cracking Does not stress whiten when flexed or bent Can be easily thermoformed, and does not require to be dried Has higher thermal diffusivity as compared to PVC (faster absorption and dissipation of heat). This reduces the thermoforming cycle time as the time required to heat and cool the sheet is lower. This product is manufactured in rolls but is sold in standard cut lengths and bunches of 12 straps each for convenience and ease of handling during the baling operation
