These Plastic-body, Conductivity electrode/cell is designed to conductivity testing application for laboratory and field use. Plastic-body conductivity cells are durable and rugged, making them ideal for field measurements. Each type of conductivity cell has two models with k= 0.1 cm-1 and k=1.0 cm-1 cell constants. When selecting a conductivity cell, check the expected conductivity of the sample and then look at the cell constants of conductivity cells. Choose a conductivity cell that covers the expected sample conductivity. The higher the conductivity value of sample, the higher the cell constant required. A conductivity cell with k=1.0 cm-1 cell constant is the most commonly used because it measures low to high conductivity.Benefits : Conductivity Cell covers wide range uS to mS. Typically, a low conductivity solution is measured with a low cell having a k=0.1 cm-1 cell constant to prevent absorption of carbon dioxide (CO2) from air, which can affect the conductivity value. A high conductivity solution is measured with a high cell having a k=1.0 cm-1 cell constant Long life, easy cleaning to avoid contamination of the electrode to ensure correct results. This instrument employs the double Kelvin Bridge principle for accurate measurement of low resistances. Twin, 5-position ratio arm, combined with a decade & slide wire, provide a wide range of resistance measurement, i.e. 0.2 micro-ohms to 11 ohms with high accuracy. Two or four terminal measurements may be employed. Current up to 10 A can be used during measurement. All controls are simple to operate. Thermal e.m.f. may be taken into account using the three position (Normal Off Reverse) current switch. Both ratio arms are operated by one switch. The press keys give full and reduced sensitivity control for the galvanometer detector. Readings are obtained direct from decade and slide wire scale multiplied by ratio arm switch setting.
