Valsartan Tablets IP 80 mg
Description: Valsartan is an oral medication classified as an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It is primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure, and to improve survival after a heart attack. By blocking the effects of angiotensin II, it helps relax blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and reducing the workload on the heart.

Indications / Uses:
Treatment of hypertension in adults and children 6 years and older
Management of heart failure (NYHA class II–IV)
Post-myocardial infarction treatment to improve survival and reduce hospitalisation
Dosage Form: Tablet (oral use) Strength: 80 mg Route: Oral
Directions for Use: Take once daily, with or without food, or as directed by your physician. Dosage may vary based on condition and response to treatment.
Common Side Effects:
Dizziness or lightheadedness (especially when standing up)
Fatigue
Headache
Elevated potassium levels
Kidney function changes
Precautions:
Not recommended during pregnancy (Category D)
Use caution in patients with kidney or liver impairment
Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes is advised
