Bengal Aquaflex is heavy duty APP (Atactic Polypropylene) modified polymeric waterproofing membrane manufactured to high standards. It is a five- layered membrane with a centre core of 100 micron. HMHDPE. The centre core reinforcement protects against water and moisture and makes it totally impermeable. The centre core is coated on both sides with high quality polymeric bitumen with properties of high softening point, high heat resistance and cold resistivity. This makes it ideal for even heavy duty 'Waterproofing treatments'. The polymeric bitumen on both sides of the centre core is protected on both sides with thermofusible HMHDPE film. The finished membrane has an elongation of over 300 percent to absorb all structural movements. It meets CPWD Specifications. Method of Application Clean the surface to make it smooth. Apply a coat of Bengal Primer @ 0.3 liters per sqm on the clean surface. This should be followed by a coat of hot applied Bengal Bitumen 85/25 @ 1.2 kg per sqm Lay and press Bengal Aquaflex on the hot bitumen. A minimum overlap of 100 mm is recommended between the two rolls of membrane to be sealed with blown bitumen. App Modified Waterproofing membrane with non woven polyester Mat Reinforcement Bengal SuperMat is one of the largest selling waterproofing membranes in India. It has a special multi-layered design that gives it superior flexibility, tensile strength and resistance to nature's elements. The multilayered design consists of a 160 gsm Polyester Core coated on both sides with APP (Atactic Polypropylene) modified Bitumen which is finished with Polyethylene film on one side. The PE side is further coated with bitumen and then the resultant membrane is finished with Thermofusible film on both sides. Superior flexibility through a uniquely formulated coatant.   Application Methodology Clean the surface thoroughly and apply Bengal Primer @ 0.3 liters per square meter. Always start at the low point and progress to the high point on the roof. The membrane should be installed perpendicular to the slope of the roof. Unroll the membrane and ensure proper side laps. Now reroll it and while standing on the unrolled portion, torch the exposed polyethylene side of the roller. Push the roll forward with your foot and keep moving forward. The molten bitumen and the primer will ensure good adhesion. The flame should be moved in shape of "L" applying about 75 percent of the heat to the roll and 25 percent to the substrate including the lap area of previously installed membrane. The flame should be moved from side to side and up the lap edge while membrane is slowly unrolled and adhered to the under lying surface. Heat the overlap and use round tipped towel to seal overlap. Excess compound should be smoothened and pressed into seam using hot trowel. When one end is complete, reroll the opposite end install in exactly the same manner. The end lap should be 100 mm and the side lap must be 75 mm.

Felt (Hessian) is a high quality bituminous waterproofing membrane with Hessianascentrecore.lt conforms to IS: 1332:1993 type 3 Grade 1. It is produced by saturating the centre core of hessian with straight grade bitumen and then coating it further on both sides with industrial grade oxidised Bitumen. Mica is then sprinkled on the bitumen on both sides to protect it from Ultra Violet rays and also to prevent adhesion. This has a fibreglass centre core instead of Hessian. Straight grade and oxidised bitumen are used for impregnating and saturating the centre core of the fibreglass. This conforms to IS 7193/1994 Cr. Both The Great Bengal Felt Hessian and FG are tested and tried waterproofing membranes and offer total impermeability to water. Both are easy to apply, easy to repair and maintain.   Uses Both are used for basement and roof waterproofing and many different types of surfacing such as Concrete   Asbestos / GI sheets Timber   Shell / Folded plates They are ideal for waterproofing of silos, grain godown, warehouses, buses etc.   Application Methodology:Surface Preparation The surface should be thoroughly cleaned with wire brush. Repair cracks, if any. Apply Bengal primer on the surface. Let the primer dry up. Then apply a coat of hot bitumen. Rolls of The Great Bengal Hessian Felt should be laid over the hot bitumen and pressed properly to avoid air gaps. A minimum overlap of 100mm and 75mm should be made at the ends and sides of The Great Bengal Felt respectively. For double layer treatment, the joints between the two layers should be staggered. A cement concrete fillet should be prepared at the junction of the roof and the parapet wall. The Great Bengal Felt should be fixed in groove (50 mm x 50 mm) made in the parapet wall. The groove should then be filled with cement mortar (1:4). The top coat of stone grit or gravel (6mm size) should be laid by spreading hot bitumen and then laying the gravel over the bitumen.
