The E rickshaws available in the market are four seaters and run on fixed routes. The auxiliary battery is connected to a solar panel on the roof of the vehicle, which recharges the battery in the daytime to be used during the evening/night.   The FRP body of the vehicle is fire resistant and all steel used in the body including the handle and the foot brake pedal is stainless steel, which is non-corrosive and requires no maintenance. The rear brakes under the chassis is of a unique fail proof mechanism designed to give adequate ground clearance.
