It is used to supply DG set power in absence of main power. It comprises of control of DG set as well as switching of breakers. In absence of main source it start DG set automatically i.e. Auto mains failure (AMF), synchronizes DG set with each other automatically along with auto load sharing and load dependent startstop of DG set. On resumption of mains it operates respective breakers and switches off DG set.

The load is then sensed by kw transducer & dg parameters are continuously monitored.In case of any fault the breaker is tripped & engine is stoppedIt the load reaches & crosses 80% or as per selection of the related capacity of the first dg, then starting pulses are given to the second dg. If voltage is healthy then the breaker-2 gets closedAfter closing the second breaker, auto load sharing function starts between the two GE setsThe percentage of sharing is directly proportional to their individual capacities.before synchronizing it is required to match the frequencies, phase angles & voltages of both the dg set necessarily
