Diffuser vanes cast integrally with the stage casing to protect against corrosion and erosion. Pump supports are cast integrally to bearing housing hence position of discharge casing can be changed at 90 ° . Carbon steel drive shaft is protected by bearing sleeves for longer life. Heavy duty grease lubricated Bearing are used for smooth operation of pump. Soft gland packings with lantern ring provided for pressurized water cooling.

Boiler feed pumps is always running below the critical speed, is guided in this type in antifriction bearings at both ends. The standard pump suction pipe is directed to the left to right, the discharge pipe extends radially upward. The antifriction bearings are grease lubricated. The stuffing box on the suction side can be provided with a pressure water seal for perfect sealing, if required.
