Manufactured by using German design structure made of solid steel plates to give sufficient mounting pressure. All metallic structure. Sufficient to resist wear and tear due to daily usage. Efficient combination of metal and casting parts to give each component a longer life without maintenance. Sufficiently large pressure beds (made of cast iron) 305 mm X 381 mm. Upper bed contains 4 heating elements made of magnesium foil and tungsten wire which can generate heating temperature up to 110 degree Celsius. Heating elements regulated by a thermostat controller to provide low, medium and high mounting temperature. Pressure bed provided with ball bearing thrust system to ensure effortless operation. Pressure beds coated with stoving color to resist high temperature generated by heating elements. Ply laminated base board provides stability and easy mobility. Usage of state-of-an-art craftsmanship for developing each component providing an export quality finishing.

The aim of mounting is to handle small or odd shaped specimens and to protect fragile materials, thin layers or coating during preparation as well as to provide good edge retention. Mounting produces specimens with uniform size so that it is easier to handle in automatic holders for further preparation steps. Basically, two methods are available: hot mounting, cold mounting in hot mounting, the specimen is mounted under heat and pressure with a hot mounting press. Cold mounting is preferred for samples which are sensitive to damage from heat and pressure (like coatings, pcb, etc.) cold mounting resins are easy to use and require mixing which is then poured into a mould and allowed to set.

Automatic metallography specimen mounting press is a kind of full automatic mounting press, equipped with in-out water cooling system. It is suitable for the heat mounting (thermohardening & thermoplastic) for all kinds of materials.
