A humidity indicator is a card on which a moisture-sensitive chemical is impregnated such that it will change color when the indicated relative humidity is exceeded.

Humidity Indicator Cards (HIC’s) are printed with moisture sensitive spots which respond to levels of humidity with a visible color change from blue to pink. The humidity inside dry packed barrier bags can be monitored by including an HIC inside. When the bag is opened, the card can be examined for proper dryness inside the bag. This indicates that the barrier bag and desiccant functioned correctly.  Humidity indicator cards allow fast visual inspection of the relative humidity within sealed packaging and containers. The indicators quickly and clearly change from blue to pink as relative humidity increases to unsafe levels. The cards can measure RH levels from 5% to 60%.   Uses:   Can be used to for food and agricultural produce, automotive components, electronics, glass ware, computers, machineries, plastic equipment etc.    Application and Handling    1. The humidity indicator dots will change from blue to pink as the relative humidity increases in the volume of air  surrounding the indicator.  2. The humidity indicator dots are reversible, and the pink dots will change back to blue when the volume of air is dried.  3. Relative humidity is indicated at the lavender color (between blue and pink).  4. Store humidity indicator cards in original container with desiccant and keep sealed. Change desiccant after three  openings of container. 5.
