S.v. Sudhakar, department of social work, andhra university was appointed as the first vice-chancellor of dr. B.r. Ambedkar university, srikakulam and he assumed the office of the vice�chancellor of dr. B.r. Ambedkar university, srikakulam on 28072008. G.o. Ms no: 159 higher education (ue.ii) department dated 07082008 transferred the existing andhra university campus at etcherla to the administrative control of dr. B.r. Ambedkar university-srikakulam.
