Hessian cloth also called Burlap comes in widths varying from 76 to 203 cms. (30" to 80"), and in weights between 152 and 427 gm / m2, packed either in bales or in rolls. Widths upto 220 cms. are also available in rolls. Other Widths are also produced on request.

Established in 1874 by Late Mr. Ramjeevun Sarawgee. The activities of his enterprise at that time were those of a Gunny Broker who used to sell jute goods on behalf of Jute Mill Owners to different buyers in and around Calcutta. Later one of his sons Late Shri Nandlal Sarawgee took over the firm who, in due course of time, was assisted by his son Mr. Shantinath Sarawgee. Gradually the firm was taken over by Mr. Shantinath Sarawgee, who in the meantime, started exporting Jute Products from India, and was very successful in his endeavor. In 1971 Mr. Shantinath Sarawgee's oldest son Mr. Saroj Kumar Sarawgee joined his father to manage the day to day affairs of the firm. The present management of the firm is represented by the 4th generation. Mr. Saroj is now acting as a broker and arranges jute manufactured goods from a handful of 1st class mills and a couple of merchant exporters to the full satisfaction of his overseas buyers some of whom are as old as 30 years. This portal now belongs to Mr. Saroj Kumar Sarawgee.
