The AGNEE Helical Gearboxes Housing is usually made of Close Grain Cast Iron or Structural Steel. They are rugged, corrosion resistant and absorb shock and vibration. The Reducer Gearing is Helical type made from high quality alloy steel, hobbed, gas carburized, tempered and surface finish to class 10 AGMA quality. That leads to a very good efficiency and a quiet working condition. The shafts are from alloy steel forging or bars heat treated. Low speed shafts can be solid or hollow type. Bearings are fitted on a ground journal and are spherical roller or/ and taper roller type.   Apart from standard range, Helical Gearboxes are also tailor made to suit individual requirement or as per specifications provided. The Helical Pinion is made of EN 353 Case Hardening Steel, Helical Gears are made of SAE 8620 Case Hardening Steel. The teeth are generated on Gear Hobbing Machine. They are then Case carburized, Hardened and Tempered. Finally, they are surface ground to close tolerances. The teeth Flanks are ground on Teeth Profile Grinder. This leads to very good efficiency and a quiet working condition. The Output shafts are from alloy steel forging or bars. Low speed shafts can be solid or hollow type. Bearings are fitted on a accurately bored journal and taper roller Bearings are used. The agnee worm gearboxes have cast iron gear case of streamlined design completely air tight, dust proof and capable of being installed in open without any cover. The worm shaft is made of alloy steel, duly hardened and tempered. The worm wheel is made of chill cast phosphorous bronze and teeth accurately generated on gear hobbing machines. They are supported on extra heavy duty taper roller anti friction bearings of ample margin of safety to allow adequate journals as well as thrust loads. Lubrication is effected by splash of oil from the sump. Thus, no special care is required except for occasional oil topping to the required level. Air cooling is effected by means of standard polypropylene or metal fans. Please read the selection of correct worm gearbox for choosing the correct one for your application.
