Passivation is a process that removes “free iron” contamination left behind on the surface of the componentsparts as a result of machining and fabricating processes. These contaminants are potential corrosion sites which, if not removed, result in premature corrosion and ultimately result in deterioration of the components.

Application : In this process a chemical treatment accelerates the formation of an extremely thin, about 0.0000001 inch thick, oxide film on the surface of the clean part. This film prevents further corrosion of the surface.

HHV’s Vacuum Arc Re-melting furnace has two melt stations – one for consumable (in vacuum) and the other for non-consumable (in sub-atmosphere argon pressure) melting. The furnace is used to melt Niobium and Tantalum as well as to prepare alloys based on these refractory metals with an ultimate objective of producing alloy ingots of 60 – 150 mm diameter and upto 500mm length and alloy pancakes of 110mm diameter and 10mm thickness.

IR blocker coating is deposited on quartz windows and transmits the required UV energy from the light source while significantly suppressing the unwanted visible and infrared energy. Conventional heat- and air-drying works by solvent evaporation. This process shrinks the initial application of coatings by more than 50% and creates environmental pollutants.Using light instead of heat, the UV curing process is based on a photochemical reaction. Liquid monomers and oligomers are mixed with a small percent of photoinitiators, and then exposed to UV energy. In a few seconds, the products - inks, coatings or adhesives instantly harden.

The product is used in an EHL (Elasto Hydrodynamic Lubrication) Ultra Thin Film Measurement System which is a computer controlled instrument for measuring the film thickness and friction (traction) coefficient of lubricants in the elastohydrodynamic lubricating regime. This instrument can measure film thickness down to 1 nm with a precision of ± 1 nm. The present invention of “tribological coating for measuring film thickness of lubricants” is very unique.

HHV’s one of its recent advanced special purpose vacuum furnace is a Solution cum ageing vacuum heat treatment furnace intended to be used for stress relieving of Nickel - based alloy parts and for processing aluminum components. The furnace is designed for solution heat treatment, solution annealing, precipitation hardening, artificial hardening, age hardening, artificial ageing and preheating.

HHV has made the dreams of researchers working in academic and industrial thin film laboratories come true by introducing a versatile, modular thin film deposition system SMART COAT 3.0. It is compatible with Glass bell jar & cylindrical glass chamber & box type metal chamber. HHV offers pneumatically operated Right Angle Valve of 25mm and 50 mm in Aluminium and other models Stainless Steel. These Right Angle Valves are fitted with neoprene "O" rings as standard and optionally viton "O" rings are offered. These valves are used as "in-line" chamber isolation valve. The HHV ION-ETCH 150 Reactive Ion Etching system is a compact system for use in nanofabrication technology applications. The capacitively-coupled plasma reactor is configured for the etching of silicon based materials, compound semiconductors, dielectrics, sputtered metal films, polymer and other materials. The 300 mm chamber can take substrates up to 6” diameter and incorporates a gas shower head for uniform process gas distribution. The system is computer controlled and has a turbo pumping system to provide base vacuum. An optional wet-type dynamic oxidation abatement system facilitates neutralisation of the process gases.
