The Wall to Wall carpets are also know as Broadloom carpets as they are made on looms that are larger than the traditional hand looms. They are tufted carpets that come in Rolls of 3 meters to 4 meters in width. The broadloom carpets come in a variety of fiber or yarn types and pile styles. They can have a much higher pile height giving a plush and luxurious feel to the installation. Unlike the carpet tiles where the seams are more easily seen, the wall to wall carpets appear virtually seamless. Apart from the size, the backing of the carpet is another major difference. Whereas the carpet tiles have a stiff backing for easy of installation, the broadloom carpets are usually installed on a foam layer, creating a softer landing for the feet. The wall to wall carpets usually are machine-made, but some can even be made on hand-loom or even hand-tufted.
