Facial recognition (or face recognition) is a type of biometric software application that can identify a specific individual in a digital image by analyzing and comparing patterns. Facial recognition systems are commonly used for security purposes but are increasingly being used in a variety of other applications. The Kinect motion gaming system, for example, uses facial recognition to differentiate among players. A facial recognition system stems from a purpose-built combination of high-end hardware components and efficient software to automatically identify or verify a person from a digital image, as required in several Security and Surveillance installations. The identification process is done by comparing the facial features extracted from an image with those previously stored in a facial database. Applications encompass access control in high-risk areas, residential ones, private and public buildings, and more generally any other context where intelligent association of personal identity and permission rights is needed. Access Control: Extend to all areas including external and internal doors, turnstiles, car parks and CCTV Automatic emergency and Fire reporting Graphic map for real-time view of secured areas Wide range of controllers, including card and fingerprint, depending on use and location Central Management: Control overall access and Create Security Profiles for staff, Students and Visitors Real-time Monitoring of all Movement within the School and its Premises Generates Pre-set, or user Definable, Reports and Graphic Display of Events Create cards and enrol students. Add new users from any facial capture station
