Plough shear mixers are suitable for mixing solids with solids, solids with liquids & gases as in case of certain reactions, it is used for granulation, drying, cooling, etc. The principle of operation is partial fluidization and cross convection at high intensities. There are no dead zones inside the mixer hence the mixing efficiencies are extremely high, true even in cases where a minute quantity of one component is added to the raw material. The mixer is horizontal with high speed choppers, top loading and bottom discharge.
