One of our most popular research products, fabricated from MuMETAL® alloy is the Permanent Magnets Ltd. Zero Gauss Chamber. These scientifically engineered chambers provide a laboratory work space of extremely low magnetic field. MuMETAL® Zero Gauss Chambers have been used worldwide by many universities, private research companies, national laboratories and companies required to provide evidence of military or consumer regulatory compliance. Our chambers are preferred because they are made from high permeability (µ) Stress Annealed MuMETAL®, which provides a consistent, low field test area. Our standard Zero Gauss Chambers consist of 3-layers and are designed to attenuate external low frequency A.C. fields 1,000 to 1,500 times. To achieve the lowest magnetic levels within the chamber and for providing optimum long term stability and uniformity of the internal magnetic field levels, the periodic use of a Degaussing Coil is recommended. We offer both standard and high temperature insulated Degaussing Coils.

Current-carrying conductors can be the cause, or be affected by, electromagnetic interference. Twisted pair cable has been PML MS widely used and is superior to parallel conductors, but is of limited effectiveness in reducing electromagnetic radiation. INTER-8® Weave Cable provides substantial improvement over the performance of a conventional twisted pair. INTER-8® weave cable consists of four separate conductors braided into interlocking loops and is a field-proven design of Permanent Magnets Limited. Four Types of Cable The basic INTER-8® weave cable is un-shielded. It is available with PVC insulation, or ETFE high temperature insulation. For additional shielding, both are also available with an outer braided shield, made of Permanent Magnets Limited proprietary Co-NETIC® AA high permeability wire, to provide ultimate magnetic shielding. Shielded options are covered with an outer Jacket.

“Hands-On" evaluation and sampling begins here. Using our University Lab Kit, shielding can be prototyped with everyday common hand-tools, or bench- top and model-shop equipment. Layers of material from the Lab Kit can be added until the unwanted field is reduced (attenuated) to the desired level. Your prototype then serves as a production model. The U-Shield is a soft ferromagnetic shield featuring superior material characteristics such as high linearity and very low hysteresis. The shield is designed for planar current sensing in combination with a magnetic field sensor, i.e. Hall sensor, AMR sensor and a bus-bar conductor. The "U" Shield protects the sensor from parasitic magnetic fields caused by nearby conductors or other magnetic field sources while at the same time it enhances sensitivity and signal-to-offset ratio of the sensor.

This field evaluator probe can be used with a digital volt meter (DVM) or oscilloscope to measure AC magnetic field intensities and attenuation ratios. Each probe is carefully calibrated with the calibration number shown on the probe. Probe is accurate for direct measurements from 10Hz to 3000Hz in Transverse directions. Includes BNC Connector. Transverse directional - 60 millivolts peak per Gauss at 60 Hertz.

Toucher Magnets are great efficient tools for small scale sheet handling jobs. Toucher Magnets are used to lift and move about small sheets. They add great value to the user and are very easy to operate. Permanent Magnets Limited Toucher Magnets also have release levers. By just pressing the lever, the Toucher Magnet will release its hold on the sheet and hence can easily be removed. No need to pry out the magnet using brute force. This feature saves the users a lot of time and energy.

Permanent Magnets Ltd. (PML) supplies Cut cores in soft magnetic Nickel alloy material to industries requiring High accuracy flux Concentrator used in current sensing application. Depending on the application, customer can select suitable Nickel or Silicon Iron alloy. PML maintains close control of magnetic properties by properly heat treating in a controlled hydrogen atmosphere furnace, which permits the most economical and efficient design for transformers. PML manufactures Cut cores in Toroid and Rectangular shape. The cut cores are made robust by finishing them with varnish coating.

Energy meter CT’s made using hybrid cores are DC immune current transformers for energy meters meeting IS 13779 / IEC 62053. The CT is small in size with customized casing and metal shield, (optional) for protection against external magnetic field. The wound CT is epoxy potted for durable and long life performance. Number of turns can be wound/adjusted as per customer requirements. CTs can be provided with or without metal shield in custom casings.

Magnetic Rollers are used in textile blow-room lines for separation of tramp iron like ring travelers, nut-bolts, bale straps from cotton in the blow-room operations.This is Generally fitted on conveyor lattice prior to calendaring operation thereby preventing the chances of fire.Also reduce the down time by protecting calendaring rolls, beater spikes, carding teeth. Magnets installed in the line should be checked periodically for their effectiveness and condition. If too much accumulation of metallic substances is found, their cleaning frequency may have to be improved as there is risk of a part of the metallic substances being carried forward with the cotton. Can be manufactured and supplied in various diameters and lengths to suit existing machinery.

Suspended Permanent Magnetic Separators are placed above open conveyors to arrest ferrous objects and fines found in grains, feed stuffs, raw and processed products, dry chemicals, salt, ceramics, Clinkers in Cement Industry, Coal conveying in power plants and many other products. Suspended Permanent Magnets are used for separating big Ferrous particles like lugs, nuts, bolts, rivets, ms plates, angles, channels and tools from moving material on a conveyor belt.

MuMETAL® Stress Annealed sheet is used primarily in low intensity fields where high attenuation is desired (high initial permeability & high shielding efficiency). Available as stress annealed (partially annealed for ease of machinability). MuMETAL® is used for fabricated shields such as enclosures, cylinders, cans, channels or 3D boxes. Typically, atmospherically controlled Perfection Annealing is required after stamping, machining, bending, rolling or welding to provide maximum shielding performance. MuMETAL® alloy is available in many forms, but most shields are fabricated from our sheet or coil stock in gauges from 0.014" to 0.062" thickness [0.36mm to 1.57mm] .

The C-Core is a laminated soft ferromagnetic core featuring superior material characteristics such as high linearity and very low hysteresis. It is available with two different materials: Ni- Fe and Si-Fe. The core is designed for high-speed contactless current sensing in combination with a magnetic field sensor, i.e., Hall sensor, and a current conductor. Furthermore, the core protects the sensor from parasitic magnetic fields caused by nearby conductors or other magnetic field sources.

The SMD shield is a soft ferromagnetic shield featuring superior material characteristics such as high linearity and very low hysteresis. The shield is designed for PCB based planar current sensing in combination with a magnetic field sensor, i.e., Hall sensor, AMR sensor and a current conductor. The SMD shield protects the sensor from parasitic magnetic fields caused by nearby conductors or other magnetic field sources. The SMD shield can be assembled on top and bottom side of the PCB. The two diagonally placed leads assure the precise alignment with the underlying magnetic sensor and the components in its vicinity. Typically, the shield is assembled on the PCB with glue. However, a version with solderable pins is available on request.

Die casting is the process in which molten metal is poured or forced into steel mold. Die casting is the most efficient process for high volume precision parts producing the best tolerance & rapid production. The mold known as tools or dies which are created using steel and they are specially designed for each project. This allows each component to be created with a accuracy and repeat ability. Aluminum, Zinc, and Magnesium are the most commonly used die casting alloys. Die casting is a cost effective process for components requiring high volumes and complex geometries. Die casting is a net-shape process, and cost savings can be achieved by eliminating secondary machining and assembly operations required by other processes.

Construction is consistent with commercially available flex-conduit and is corrosion resistant to furnish physical protection. Five stock diameters are available. Magnet Sheet Transporters are great for lifting and moving sheets one by one from a stack of sheets. Simply place the Magnetic Sheet Transporter on the sheet that needs to be lifted and moved. The ergonomic handle makes it very easy for the user to shift, lift and move the sheets as desired. The Magnetic Sheet Transporter consists of a metal housing inside which strong magnets are assembled. The Sheet Transporter also has a cam shaft operated lever handle which comes in handy to transport the sheet and also to release the hold of the Magnetic Sheet Transporter. Simply push the handle away from the direction of the pull and the magnet will release its hold.

Magnetic Sheet Floaters are great sheet handling tools. By using the Magnetic Sheet Floater, the users can easily separate one sheet from a stack of sheets without getting their hands dirty. Simply place the Magnetic Sheet Floater near the sheet stack and the Magnet will attract the top sheet, making the sheet to appear as it is slightly floating above the stack. This enables the user to get enough grip to hold the sheet. This device will eliminate the pain of picking a sheet from a stack of sheets, no more sliding sheets around to find the perfect grip!

Round base magnets are powerful, low-profile magnets with an attachment hole in the center. Attach hooks or knobs to position or hold inspection equipment, indicator gauges, lamps, signs, antennas and more.   All round base magnets are chrome plated for durability and are magnetic on the flat side only.

The forms used in a precast plant can be reused hundreds to thousands of times before they have to be replaced, often making it cheaper than on-site casting when looking at the cost per unit of form-work.
