Two Stage Compressor
Two stage Air Compressors are meant for medium pressure requirement up to T 5 PSIG (12.30 kgfcm2g) People who are new to air compressors will often confuse the number of cylinders for the number of stages in an air compressor. when in fact both single and two stage compressors use two cylinders, because it's easier to balance air that way. The difference between the two stage air compressors vs. single stage in this regard is that, in the latter, both cylinders are the same size. On the other hand, in two stage compressors, the second piston is shorter than the Hrst, and the two are linked by a cooling tube, which brings the temperature ofthe air down before the second round of compression. in a two stage compressor, the air is compressed twice for double the pressure. The process that takes place within a two stage compressor goes as follows: Air is sucked into a cylinder lt's sent to a smaller piston for a second stroke at roughly 175 psi v The double pressurized air is cooled and delivered to a storage tank In the storage tank, the compressed air serves as energy for the assortment of tools.

Refrigerated Compressed Air Dryer
What ts dew point compressed air? Dew point is detlned as the temperature to which a gas (e.g. air) must be cooled. at constant pressure. tor water vapor to begin to condense to liquid water. In other words. when the dew point temperature has been reached, the gas is fully saturated with water vapor. How does lt work ? As the name implies. a retrigerated air dryer works by cooling down the air (like a refrigerator). The warm wet air enters the dryer. where it is cooled down to about 3 degrees Celsius. All water vapor that was in the air condenses into water. Much like your window does on a cold day. The liquid water is then removed from the compressed air by a water-trap. After that. the cold air is re heated to room temperature. Since a lot of water has condensed into water, the air is now much dryer. Heat Exchanger High ethciency 'tube in tube' heat exchanger. The high quality copper tube ensures maximum heat transfer ethciency corrosion resistance and minimum pressure drop. The heat exchanger is Elled with PUF for better insulation and ethciency. It performs the function of both pre-cooler and evaporator. Advantages of Refrigerant Type Air Dryers include Low, initial capital cost. Relatively low operating cost. Low maintenance costs. Not damaged by oil in the air stream (although, tiltration normally is sometimes recommended).

Heatless Air Dryers
The theory behind operation of Heatless Dryers, is very simple. Chemicais which have the capacity to adsorb moisture on its surface. These adsorbents are used to dry the air. The adsorber are packed into two columns. The Cornpressed air is passed through this Column of packed adsorbent dessjcant. It is obvious that after a certain period or drying (i.e. few hours few minutes) the dessicant looses its capacjty to adsorb more moisture and hence is not capable of drying any more air, in its present Condition. The drying Capacity of the dessicant is restored by the process of regeneration.

How does it workRegenerative desiccant dryers normally are of twin tower construction. One tower dries theairtrom the compressor while the desiccant in the othertower is being regenerated afterthepressure in the tower has been reduced to atmospheric pressure.
