The company is a known Geotextiles Testing services provider based in Ghatkopar (Mumbai). Based on its earlier experience, expertise and facility in this field, the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, recognized BTRA as a Centre of Excellence for Geotech in 2008. We set up a new laboratory for testing Geotech with all latest testing facilities in March 2009. We provide testing for geosynthetic products like Geomembranes, Gabions, Geotextiles, Geosynthetic Clay Liner, Geocomposites, Geogrids, Prefabricated Vertical Drain, etc. The tests conducted by us conform to national and international standard test methods. Our geotech laboratory is accredited by NABL as per ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standards. Also, it is accredited by Geosynthetics Institute (GSI), Folsom, Pensylvania, USA under the GAI – LAP Accreditation Programme for the 24 tests of geosynthetics products. Ours is the first institute in India and probably only the third institute outside USA to get this coveted accreditation. This means that clients can rely on us with utmost confidence as we provide accuracy in results that is as good as any other GAI-LAP accredited laboratories. We also have an information resource centre on Geotech that has various related books and international test methods such as ASTM, INDA, EDANA, ISO, etc. related to this field. Furthermore, the company is known for providing training to users / entrepreneurs in Geotech as well as in technical textiles.
