Foam concrete is a very fluid, lightweight cellular concrete fill material, produced by blending a cement paste (the slurry or mortar) with a separately manufactured, pre-formed foam.   Foam Concrete is used for roofing and flooring applications extensively. The low density also has the advantage that it does not significantly add to the overall weight of the roof.   Foamed concrete has two benefits when it is used for roofing.
